Refillable sanitizer made from ocean-bound plastic
$317,000 raised on Kickstarter
We all remember 2020, so I won’t go into how the world at the time looked like it was falling apart.
What started as a “yellow pages” for where to buy hand sanitizer morphed into Sanikind, a refillable hand sanitizer spritzer made from ocean bound plastic.
Role: Co-founder
When: Spring ‘20 - Summer ‘21
What: A super eco-friendly way to sanitize
Why: Covid was creating a lot of waste. Things weren’t safe to touch, which meant single use was top priority. With Sanikind we wanted to launch a kickstarter campaign to help bring a sustainable sanitizer to market, and quickly.
What I did: I did everything from design and manufacture the product, create our launch video and marketing material, finance the kickstarter campaign, to eventually hiring a team, and managing the design, manufacturing, assembly and shipping of the final product.
